MOSCOW, 16 July (Independent Media) - Vympelkom, a leading mobile operator in Russia providing services under the Bee Line trade mark, began providing an automatic roaming service to Bee Line GSM subscribers on the Seychelles Islands (GSM-900 standard Airtel network). Thus, the total number of countries where Bee Line GSM subscribers can use a Moscow phone number reached 50. Bee Line GSM has agreements about roaming services with 103 operators of practically all world regions, including Europe, North America, South-Eastern Asia, the Middle East and Africa. "At present our company provides a roaming service in all key tourist directions," said Sergei Avdeev, Vympelkom's director of network planning and development. "Our subscribers can use their Moscow number in Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, Spain, Israel, Portugal and other world tourist centers. In addition to this, in many countries we have agreements with more than one operator, which lets us choose networks with more attractive tariffs. Subscribers can use Bee Line GSM in the USA and Canada, practically in the whole of Europe, in India and other countries of South-Eastern Asia, and also within the Iridium global satellite network." In Russia the process of new roaming agreements is developing quite quickly, too. Bee Line GSM subscribers can use their Moscow number in more than 80 cities of RF, including the entire North-Western region, Krasnodarsky, Stavropolsky, Khabarovsky, Nizhegorosky, Novosibirsky, Samarsky and Volgogradsky regions. Bee Line phones are also popular on resorts in the Crimea, Northern Caucuses, and at the Azov and Baltic seasides. Source: Independent Media
