Kaspersky Lab, a leader in antivirus solutions, released another version of its AntiViral Toolkit Pro (AVP) solution. The product is built for BSDi Unix operating system. AVP for BSDi includes two principal components: classic antivirus scanner which may be run by system administrator both manually and by means of external scheduler, and special antivirus filter (AVP Daemon). The latter is aimed at operation at Web servers, specialized mailing systems, and firewalls. It can also be integrated with various third-party products. AVP version for BSDi Unix is based upon the same antivirus core as the other products of AVP family. This core is also licensed for application in antivirus products offered by a number of well-known Western companies. All AVP products share the virus database, which is updated weekly. A single-user license with one-year subscription costs US$ 99.5. The price also includes round-the-clock technical support by phone and e-mail in Russian and English. Source: InfoArt News Agency
