Microsoft office in Moscow will provide round-the-clock technical support on Y2K-related problems during the New Year days. (Hardly they can be called _holidays_ for IT people this year.) The service will be available since December 31, 1999, till January 4, 2000. During this period technical experts will carry round-the-clock duty in a number of centers, in particular: On December 10, 1999, Microsoft office in Moscow together with its partners held an Internet discussion on Problem 2000. In course of this event Microsoft specialists told Internet users about the work done by the corporation and its Moscow office to prepare for transition to the new millenium; the degree of Microsoft products' readiness for utilization in year 2000; arrangement of technical support for corporate and individual users during the New Year days; recommendations on preparing personal computers for operation in the new year 2000. On top of that, Microsoft experts gave on-line answers to users' questions about Problem 2000.
- Microsoft center of free technical support will provide free support to individuals and small to medium enterprises.
- Microsoft certified technical centers and a number of Microsoft partners qualified as Microsoft Certified Solution Provider (MCSP) will provide paid services to all individuals, businesses and organizations.
- For strategic corporate customers and critical industries (heat, power, and gas supply, health care) extended round-the-clock support will be available free of charge. This kind of support include prompt solution of their problems. Microsoft specialists will also visit customers' premises throughout Moscow if necessary. The team of Microsoft experts will be concentrated only on Y2K related problems. In the most complex and critical cases personnel of Moscow office will use all corporate resources aimed at solving the millennium problem.
