Moscow Internet provider joins UUNET

MTU Intel, an Internet provider in Moscow, launched a new route for traffic exchange between Russia and the worldwide Internet. The company began operation of its pilot 1.5 Mbps link to North American segment of UUNET backbone.

MTU Intel already has access to global Internet backbones via Teleglobe and Rostelecom networks. The company, InfoArt notes, is one of the largest Moscow Internet providers and the most dynamically growing one.

UUNET is one of the world top Internet providers. The company serves corporate customers in 114 countries throughout the globe. It owns a global network with more than 2,000 points of presence in North America, Europe, and Pacific region.
