A few Russian value-added resellers announced their services for recovery of the IT systems impaired by Y2K problem.

ACT Group put forward a special support plan for corporate customers to solve possible hardware and software problems during transition to the new millennium. According to the plan, ACT Group technical experts will be on round-the-clock duty in its service center to ensure prompt recovery from Y2K-related disasters.

IT company established an "Ambulance - IT 2000" service to provide support and assistance to Moscow businesses and organizations in emergency situations. The service will be available on January 1 to 4, 2000. It engages a team of highly qualified IT specialists having vast experience of analyzing and solving Y2K problem in corporate information solutions.

The company says that in case of any Y2K-related failures in networking and telecommunication systems their operators will be able to get immediate consultations and specific advices by "Ambulance - IT 2000" hot line. The same service will also be available by e-mail. Finally, "Ambulance - IT 2000" specialists can visit the customer's office to fix the problem themselves.

For the extreme cases, when malfunctioning of information system builds up and threatens the normal operation of the enterprise, "Ambulance - IT 2000" offers a special service: it provides a sufficient amount of servers and workstations for rent.
