Moscow office of Cisco Systems announced the results of its business activity in the first quarter of fiscal year 2000 (August to October). The quarter is qualified as the most successful during the entire history of Cisco's operation in Russia.

October 1999 has also set a record for Russian office of Cisco Systems. The sales increased by 148% as compared to October 1998. The sales forecast was exceeded by as large as 30%, thus making Cisco Systems Russia the second largest Cisco affiliate in Central and Eastern Europe.

Total sales in Q1, 2000 were 70% greater than in Q1, 1999. This means more than 15% quarter-to-quarter growth.
