The second Russian Internet festival "INTERNIT' '99" ("INTERTHREAD '99" in literal translation) takes place on November 9 to 11, 1999, in Novosibirsk city in Russia. The goal of the festival is demonstration of abilities of Internet technologies, as effective business tools, to active players at the local market. It will also promote cooperation and integration between companies occupying the leading positions in separate components of e-commerce, such as logistics, banking technologies, sales of goods, web design. Finally, the festival will demonstrate the abilities of Internet as a new media for human communication.

During the days of the festival, the winners of the Business Site '99 contest will be announced. By now, 721 site from 85 Russian cities took part in the contest. The contest is held in the six nominations: finances and economics; corporate site; advertising and exhibition business; reference and information site; goods and services, including e-commerce; mass media.

Festival allows the specialists in various fields to meet and exchange their opinions on Internet perspectives in Russia, new technologies, e-commerce and Internet marketing. On top of that, the festival includes large professional and educational programs, master classes and seminars on various issues ranging from Web design, e-commerce to legal aspects of Internet technologies.
