The Investment Research contest of Russian commercial Internet resources has begun in Russian segment of Internet. Applications will be accepted until November 21, 1999. Then winners of the contest will be determined by the jury comprised of experts in information technologies, e-marketing and e-business.

The contest is oriented towards owners, designers and operators of commercial Internet resources. Its goal is to reveal projects in the Russian Internet which are the most promising and interesting for potential investors.

Organizers of the contest also say that it will serve for a number of other purposes. It will establish effective business processes in Russian Internet; join the efforts of developers and investors for building an operating commercial model of the network; provide migration of Russian Internet from an information distribution mechanism to a tool for successful business, a space for making new jobs, and a beneficial industry in Russian economy; determine the optimal business mechanisms which might be deployed at Russian e-market.
