The first issue of a new periodical, Windows 2000 Magazine/RE, has been published in Russia. The magazine is a Russian version of the Windows NT Magazine, originally published in English. It is destined for system administrators and developers utilizing Windows NT. Publication is carried out within the framework of license agreement between Open Systems publishing house and Duke Communications International, an American publishing company.

Windows 2000 Magazine/RE will be published every other month in both printed and electronic versions. The volume of printed version will be 80 pages, with circulation of 10,000 copies.

According to Open Systems officials, the new magazine is "independent from Microsoft Corporation". Yet "the staff of Microsoft office in Moscow highly appreciated the idea of such publication and contributed into its rapid start".
