TerraLink company announced receiving of additional investments form Mrs. Ester Dyson, the ICAAN chairperson. This funding will support company's operations in Russia and Kazakhstan. The sums were received in the past month and increased Ester Dyson's share in TerraLink by 11%. Mrs. Ester Dyson is among the key 50 persons in the area of information technologies. She heads ICAAN, an international organization which is responsible for operation of Internet domain name system. In her comments on the investments in TerraLink Mrs. Dyson said that these investments are a practical expression of her optimism about Russia. The country is exposed to great difficulties now, yet these are companies like Terralink which are able to change the situation to the better by assisting Russian companies and organizations to carry out more effective and honest business, based on reliable information systems. By investing her money and time, she hopes to make her contribution to changes in the country which deserves assistance not only in form of charity but also in form of active investments. TerraLink officials say that new investments will strengthen the financial status of the company, opening new possibilities for short- and long-term crediting. In short term, Terralink will be able to propose more beneficial terms of payments to its customers and vendors, thus making its business more competitive. In long term perspective, these money will be invested in strategic projects, such as consulting in business processes and financial management systems, solutions based on Smart Card technologies, establishing an e-commerce division.
