TEREM company, an official Apple dealer in Russia, announced its plans to begin the first shipments of Apple Power Mac G4 to the local market this October. Currently the supercomputer with performance over 1 GFLOP is waiting for export license. TEREM officials say the price of the new computer to start at US$ 1999. The basic configuration includes 400 MHz processor, 64 MB RAM, 10 GB hard disk, CD-ROM drive, PCI video card with 16 MB of video memory, modem and keyboard. The senior model of the family will be US$ 4094 and will have 500 MHz processor, 1 MB cach memory, 256 MB RAM, 27 GB HDD, DVD-RAM drive, 16 MB AGP video card and Zip drive. ================= RTSoft joins PICMG Russian company RTSoft became an official member of PICMG (PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group). This international organization unites more than 450 vendors and users of modern embedded technologies based on open PCI standard. Systems of this sort are designed for industrial, telecommunication, aerospace, complex medical, military, and other critical applications. Among the members of this consortium, there are leading world computer and telecommunication vendors, including IBM, HP, Motorola, Siemens, Sun, Microsoft, Dialogic, Compaq, Lucent, PEP, SBS, and others.
