IT InfoArt Stars website offers USENET newsgroups and new forums

InfoArt, the leading Russian web content provider, announced new forums on its website. The iForum section of the site (http://iforuminfoart.ru) is being permanently built with active participance of external writers and InfoArt visitors. Among the forums which are currently on at the site there are "Your e-mail client", "Corporate website - UNIX vs. Windows NT", "Year 2000 problem", "Russian programmers abroad". Now they are complemented with two other forums, "Situation at the Caucasus" and "Forum for forums' participants".

The latter forum is devoted to discussion of the iForum service itself. This service provides more dynamic discussion, as it allows registered users of InfoArt Name System (http://insinfoart.ru/) to publish their statements directly in the forum stream. These messages are postmoderated rather than moderated.

New iForum system is more convenient for the discussioners and supports multilevel access to reading and publishing articles. It also supports HTML tags and provides easy access to archived forums. The solution can serve an unlimited number of forums with multilevel access rights, ranging from Read-Only to Administrator separately for each forum.

On top of that, a good amount of USENET newsgroups is now available for InfoArt visitors at http://usenetah.ru/, with the interface being provided either in English or in Russian. USENET groups are a popular media for discussions, questions and answers on a great variety of topics. Registered users of InfoArt Name System are offered a set of convenient tools for subscribing to newsgroups and performing newsgroup-wide search in articles' headers. The server offers more than 1,000 Russian and English newsgroups, including those from rec.*, fido.*, and comp.* hierarchies. All newsgroups are available in read-only mode.
