PROMT company, a Russian expert in computer translation systems, signed an agreement with French company Softissimo on further expansion of its well-known PROMT family of products. Solutions for more language couples will be added, including English-to-German and English-to-Spanish translators. Urgent need for development of these solutions is caused by rapidly growing demand for computer translation software in European and North American countries.

PROMT systems are recognized worldwide for their high quality of translation. Expanding their language support will drastically expand markets and regions where translating software can be applied. First solutions for the new language couples will be available by the end of the year, with the entire project being completed in 2000. When the products become available, Softissimo will distribute the new translation systems worldwide.
