Kaspersky Lab, the Russian leader in antivirus protection systems, announced release of beta version of AVP Monitor for Linux, the first resident virus interceptor for the operating system which rapidly gains popularity. AVP Monitor for Linux is a client program for AVP Daemon, which intercepts file operations (launch, opening and initialization of modules) and tests the files for viruses. Permanent presence of the program in computer memory provides reliable control of all ways used by viruses for intrusion to computer or to corporate network. Using AVP is the most convenient way of achieving antivirus security. The user merely launches the program while booting the operating system, and then he may forget about virus threats.
