The Moscow Interbank Currency Exchange (MICE) performed testing of its computer facilities, which perform trade and depository transactions, for operation in the next millennium. The procedure engaged participants of the trade session and all regional exchanges. The extended test was carried out within the framework of the program of preparing the IT systems for year 2000. Positive results of the examination allows to make a conclusion that trade and depository system of the exchange works steadily and should not run into problems during transition to the millennium.

On top of personnel of MICE computer facilities, the program of preparing the system to year 2000 involved virtually all its business partners, specializing in computer hardware and software, and providers of network services. The test simulated a trade session and usual trade procedure.
