The Ministry for Fuel and Power of Russian Federation announced that the millennium problem is solved for only 35% in the industry. According to Oleg Yanovsky, press secretary of the Ministry, about 800 mln. roubles (approx. US$ 32 mln.) have been already spent to fix the problem. The entire solution for Russian fuel and power industry will require about 2.5 bln. roubles (US$ 100 mln.) Out of this sum, 1.6 bln. roubles are expected to be assigned for purchasing new computer and telecommunications hardware, and the rest of the sum for software.
