DialogNauka, the leading Russian specialist in antivirus software, begun development of a specialized network antivirus tool, based on its popular Doctor Web antivirus scanner, three years ago. The first beta-version of Doctor Web for Novell NetWare (DrWebNW) appeared in March 1997. Since that time, thousands of network administrators throughout Russia took part in its testing, followed by a long and laborious debugging to take all users' notes and recommendations into account. On June 8, 1999, the first commercial version of the product become available. The program is released as version 4.11 so that correspondence between version numeration between all products of DrWeb32 family would be maintained.

DrWebNW functionality includes:

• checking the network volumes of the server according to a preset schedule;
• checking the network volumes of the server by administrator's request;
• checking incoming and outgoing files at the server on-the-fly;
• flexible setup for reaction on viruses and suspicious files.

Doctor Web for Novell NetWare is a member of DrWeb32 family, thus it utilizes the same antivirus engine and shares the databases with the other products of this family.
