Arsenal provides Russian software for Russian education

Arsenal company, the Russian leader in office software, announced a new program entitled "Russian Software for Russian Education". Within the framework of the program, the company will supply schools and other educational institutions with its software products free of charge. As the first step to carry out this program, the company delivered licenses for two its products, Lexicon word processor and Sokrat Internet automatic translation system, to 20 schools in Moscow.

The program, Infoart mentions, is not the first time when Arsenal provides assistance to Russian educational institutions. For example, in late 1998 the company delivered a few dozens of free licenses for software of its Russian Office family to Novosibirsk State University.

Now, separate actions aimed at support of Russian education have transformed themselves into a solid program, which will provide legal high-tech software to Russian schools and universities. Arsenal believes that students and schoolchildren should be trained using the most up-to-date software, which will allow them to master all basic computer skills.
