RUSLAN Communications, a Russian specialist in ATM and telecommunication solutions, is demonstrating a turnkey solution for telco operators at Svyaz/Expo Comm'99 show in Moscow this week. Integrated multiservice solutions offered by the company include a powerful SDH transport and superposed ATM, LAN and phone networks. They provide the full range of services to the end user without any sacrifice in quality. Several demonstrations to be held at RUSLAN booth include telco solutions of various scale, from operator's backbone systems down to corporate, SOHO and home products. Another major topic is a turnkey solution for video streams control and management in ATM network, with complete software suite developed by the company from ground up. Also presented are the newest technologies and products of the leading vendors, which are business partners of RUSLAN Communications: FORE Systems, Nortel Networks, Lucent Technologies, Ericsson, Cellware, Breeze Net. All these products are shown in action. Visitors of RUSLAN Communications' booth can see: The company demonstrates the abilities of voice switching in a distributed region-wide network of telco provider, based on Nortel Networks solutions for voice networking. Attention is also paid to increasing the throughput of communication channels by means of voice and data compression in hardware. Consolidation of ATM, Ethernet, Frame Relay, HTDS, and BTDG services is shown, too.

The abilities of high-performance ATM network are demonstrated using the Fore Systems' products. Nortel's Meridian family of voice exchanges is also presented, ranging from 16-user office PBXes to central office switches with capacity of 10,000 subscribers. Finally, RUSLAN Communications presents the complete solution for providing the entire suite of end-to-end ATM services via a single copper pair. It provides digital TV, digital telephony and broadband Internet access at the most problematic "last mile", with ATM services being completely transparent for the end user. The interaction of ADSL access system and ATM backbone is jointly demonstrated by RUSLAN Communications and Ericsson. Svyaz/Expo Comm'99 show is taking place in Moscow on May 11 to 15, 1999. This is the major Russian exhibition in telecommunications industry and is being held for the 11th time. This year 500 companies from 25 countries took place in the show.
