Russian company Parus, a specialist in business software, is going to take part in the First Forum "APEC Investment Market", which will take place in Korea. APEC stands for Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation and is an inter-governmental organization established in 1989. Currently the members of APEC are Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua-New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russian Federation, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, USA, Vietnam. The Forum will take place on June 2 to 5, 1999, in Seoul, the capital of Republic of Korea, and will be patronized by the president of Korea. Russia's participation in the Forum is organized and coordinated by the Fund of Cooperation "Russia-ACEAN". The principal goal of the Forum is to gather, for the first time in APEC history, the investors, manufacturers, service providers, businessmen and politicians. Foreign investors will be offered reliable partners and the mechanisms of cooperation, in particular, at Russian investment market. More than 3000 investors from 21 country will take part in the Forum. It will be attended by representatives and higher officials of investment companies, manufacturers, service providers, financial companies and banks which provide the investments, state officials, ministers, well-known economists and politicians, heads of international financial institutions and transnational corporations. Parus corporation will take part in the Forum as a member of the Forum organizing committee and as the investment consultant of "Russia-ACEAN" Fund. The company officials say that participation in the Forum will allow it to carry out a number of large-scale investment projects on restructurization of Russian enterprises, including the turn-key automatization of management at these enterprises.
