DPI Group, the exclusive representative of Apple Computer in Russia, celebrated the first anniversary of its pilot school in Russia. The Apple school in Moscow is the first of the seven schools established in Europe within the framework of Apple Distinguished Schools project. It was opened on April 3, 1998, based on Moscow school No. 1126. The goals of establishing Apple pilot school in Moscow are making practical demonstration of applying multimedia and Internet technologies in education, in teaching and administrating the education process, as well as building the new teaching approach to computer-assisted education. During the first year of its operation, the pilot Apple Computer school has presented new Apple technologies at many exhibitions and conferences, held by Russian Ministry of General and Professional Education, Moscow City Committee of Education, UNESCO Institute of Information Technologies in Education, International Academy of Informatization.
