E-commerce calls for unifying of payment systems
Platina bank from Moscow and Reksoft company from Saint-Petersburg
announced commercial launch of the new electronic payment tool. The system,
named ASSIST (http://wwwassist.ru), is aimed at performing small to medium
payments via Internet. E-shops, served by ASSIST, can accept payments with
VISA, EC/MC, JCB, and Diners Club cards, emitted by any Russian and foreign
banks. It should be highlighted that credit card owners need neither to
register in the system in advance nor to install specialized software at
their computers.
The server component of the system, developed by Reksoft specialists and
utilizing the DynaSite toolkit, provides secure transmission of the card
parameters and on-line authorization of the operation by means of CyberPlat
system back-office (http://wwwcyberplat.ru). On top of that, the system
provides a number of additional services to its users, both customers and
e-shops. Among these services are "customer's basket" hosting, monitoring
the status of the order, deferred authorization, requesting bills on
operations, etc. The API (applied program interface) for the CyberPlat
back-office was developed by Inist company from Moscow.
On top of credit card operations, the ASSIST system also allows to make
payments from users' accounts at their Internet providers.
