Kaspersky Lab and MediaLingua company announced their new joint project, the Viral Encyclopedia webserver. It will provide Russian and foreign users with information on more than 14,000 viruses and ways of fighting them.

The encyclopedia is available in both Russian and English. It presents descriptions of the majority of the known viruses, peculiarities of their propagation and spawning, effective means of their detection and elimination. The site utilizes the search engine by MediaLingua, which allows to make requests in "natural language". This helps the user to find the desired information according to viral symptoms. E.g., one may type "dropping letters", and the system will return the list of viruses which demonstrate such effect.
