Costs of Y2K solution in Russia could achieve from 2 to 3 billion roubles
Director of Government Information Administration Igor Shchyogolev said,
that Russian Federation government is going to take every conceivable
measures to preclude any chance of failure of information systems due to
possible global computer crash known as Y2K problem. For solution of the
problem government comission under vice-prime minister Vladimir Bulgak was
found.
Russian Federation State Committee on Communication and Informatization
estimates that costs of Y2K problem solution in Russia can reach from 2 to
3 billion roubles (from 87.3 to 131 million dollars). More accurate data
will be obtain by middle of March.
