Midisoft and broadcast.com Announce Agreement to Collaborate On Internet Utilities
Nov. 18, 1998--Midisoft Corporation today announced an agreement with
broadcast.com, Inc. to develop a series of specialized utilities and plug-in
modules that augment the streaming media players offered by RealNetworks,
Inc. and Microsoft Corporation.
The first result of the development agreement is the release of the
Midisoft-developed and broadcast.com-branded Streaming Media Player
Selector, a utility which provides users with a means to easily manage
multiple streaming media players installed on their Windows(R) 9x/NT PCs.
The free utility enables users to dynamically select the default player for
RealNetworks RealMedia and Microsoft's NetShow streaming content, and
automatically restores the appropriate Windows Registry settings without
requiring reinstallation of the players.
The Streaming Media Player Selector can be downloaded for free from
broadcast.com http://wwwbroadcast.com/faq/, from Midisoft
http://wwwmidisoft.com/partners/swdownload/, or from many leading Internet
download sites including ZDNet's HotFiles Web site at
